How to Properly Reformat Transcend StoreJet External Hard Drive

Did you have a hard time trying to fix your Transcend StoreJet External Hard Disk Drive? Did you experience very slow browsing in opening your files? Even after many attempts to reformat it with windows formatting utility, still to no avail.
Well, I would like you to try this solution that really works with my Transcend StoreJet External Hard Disk Drive.

First, you must go to www.transcendusa.com, then follow these steps:
1)      Go to ‘Tech Support’ button, in the pull down menu click Download Center.
2)      Then, browse down to the ‘Select Product Groupmenu and select ‘External Hard Drives’.
3)      Then in the ‘Select Product Type’ select ‘StoreJet Drives’.
4)      In the ‘Select Product Sub-Type’ click ‘StoreJet 25M’ (please choose as appropriate)
5)      Then select appropriate choice in the ‘Select Part Number’ box.

Continue browsing down and stop at the ‘Software’ title, then download and install the ‘StoreJet Formatter Utility’ installer. Please note that this is an initial test whether it will work in your External Drive but if it doesn’t work.

Proceed to download and install the ‘HDD Bad sector recovery SOP” installer.

  1. I bought one of these from Amazon and sent it back a day later, they gave me another and it's just the same. Wonder why these are so slow, my five year old Western digital is way quicker and this Transcend is USB3. It's not the laptop either as I'm using it with work 3000 euro Dell Precision.

  3. Lacie DJI Copilot is a great, innovative, and high-technology external drive. It has an SD card slot where you can keep the backup of your shots. The dimension of this backup drive is 136 x 110 x 36mm. Moreover, the image read/write speeds: 84/82MB/s and the video read/write speeds: 127/127MB/s. By downloading the Copilot BOSS software, you can see the shots on the drive on your smartphone easily.
